At 11 a.m. on February 1, 2024 , the Hitachi Port Promotion Association held a commemorative ceremony to "Celebrate SITC Direct Shipping Calling Service" at the terminal. Hitachi Naka Port is located in Ibaraki Prefecture in the Kanto region of Japan. It is the 15th port that SITC has directly called on Japan routes.
